Healthy Working Lives Supported Employment (HWLSE)

Healthier Working Lives Supported Employment (HWLSE) will provide 1:1 employment support to help individuals gain the right job for their ambitions and needs.

We will provide support to:

  • 18-24 year olds
  • Adults with a long-term health condition or disability

Individuals will be helped preparing for work, job searching and with in-employment support such as communicating any adaptations to your employer.

To join the programme, individuals must be:

  • 18+
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Live in Leeds
  • If they are 25+, they must also have a health condition or disability
  • Be currently unemployed or in work and at risk of losing your employment.

This activity is part of Healthy Working Life, a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

Healthy Working Life aims to deliver the region’s work and health plan and its vision for West Yorkshire to have the healthiest residents and workforce in England by 2040.

Created in consultation with residents and employers, Healthy Working Life will transform lives by offering personalised support to people with sickness or disability so they can stay in or return to secure, well-paid work.
