The Employment West Yorkshire programme provides tailored 1:1 support to help young people overcome barriers, build confidence, and take positive steps into training, education, or secure employment.


Who We Support

  • Young adults aged 16 to 25

  • Leeds residents

  • Individuals who are economically inactive (or currently unemployed)

What We Offer

  • Personalised, 1:1 guidance tailored to individual ambitions and needs

  • Practical help with job searching, CV writing, and interview preparation

  • Dedicated support to navigate and overcome personal barriers to progression

  • Direct connection to local training programmes, education, and job opportunities

Eligibility Criteria 

To join the programme, individuals must:

  • Be aged 16-25

  • Live in Leeds

  • Be economically inactive or unemployed

  • Require support to progress towards work or training


This activity is part of the West Yorkshire Trailblazer programme, delivered by Leeds City Council (LCC) Employment & Skills.
